Today’s Poem

I never think I like poetry until I read it. It’s kind of like the Ani Difranco line: they say goldfish have no memory; i guess their lives are much like mine; and the little plastic castle is a surprise every time.

So here’s a poem from Rabindranath Tagore to start the work week:

I slept and dreamt

That life was joy–

I awoke and found

That life was duty–

I acted and behold

Duty was joy.
